UAM Flight Demonstration Project is a part of the K-UAM roadmap organized by MOLIT aiming not only to promote social acceptance for UAM but also to showcase our accelerating effort to introduce UAM service in Korea by 2025.
Following the first eVTOL flight carried out over the Han River in 2020, the 2021 demonstration conducted at two international airports particularly focused on the validation of the K-UAM ConOps in an airport environment. This successful flight trial provided an invaluable opportunity to witness the feasibility that the UAM service could be safely operated by monitoring its traffic in real-time on the existing traffic management system.
The presentation will outline an overview of the experiences gained and lessons learned from the demonstration project. In addition, a brief introduction to the UTM with an explanation of UTID and the 5G mobile network will be covered.
